What is INeedYou?
INeedYou is a local service marketplace connecting clients in the Dallas Metroplex with trusted service providers — plumbers, electricians, cleaners, handymen, and hundreds of other professionals. We act as a neutral connection platform: we do not employ providers, do not manage services, and do not intervene in agreements between the parties.
Is INeedYou available outside of Dallas?
Currently, INeedYou focuses on the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, including cities like Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Richardson, Garland, and surrounding areas. We plan to expand to other Texas cities in the near future.
Is INeedYou free to use for clients?
Yes! Creating an account, browsing providers, sending messages, and requesting bookings is completely free for clients. We do not charge any booking fees or commissions to clients.
How do I report a problem with a provider?
If you experience a problem, you can contact us at support@ineedyou.io. While INeedYou is a connection platform and is not responsible for the quality of services provided, we take all reports seriously and may suspend accounts that violate our Terms of Service.

How do I find a provider?
Simply search by service category, keyword, city, or zip code on the homepage. You can view provider profiles, read reviews, check ratings, and see their rates before making contact. Once you find someone you like, send them a direct message or submit a booking request.
How does booking work?
Click "Book Now" on a provider's profile, select your preferred date, time, and rate type (hourly, daily, or fixed), add any notes, and submit. The provider will review your request and accept or decline. You'll receive an email notification either way. Payment is arranged directly between you and the provider.
Can I message a provider before booking?
Absolutely! We encourage you to message providers first to discuss your needs, get a quote, or ask any questions before committing to a booking. Use the messaging system on the provider's profile page.
How do I leave a review?
After a service is completed, you can leave a rating and review on the provider's public profile. Honest reviews help the community make informed decisions. Reviews can only be submitted by verified clients who have had a booking with that provider.
What if a provider doesn't show up or cancels?
INeedYou is a connection platform and cannot guarantee provider availability or conduct. If a provider fails to honor a booking, we recommend reporting it to us. We may take action against providers who repeatedly fail to fulfill bookings. Always agree on cancellation terms directly with the provider before confirming.
Are payments processed through INeedYou?
No. INeedYou does not process, hold, or facilitate payments between clients and providers. All payment arrangements — including method, amount, and timing — are made directly between the client and the provider. INeedYou bears no responsibility for payment disputes.
🔧 For Providers
How do I sign up as a provider?
Click "List Your Services" in the navigation bar. Fill in your profile details including your name, service category, rates, bio, and a profile photo. Choose your subscription plan and start your 120-day free trial — no credit card required for the trial.
How much does it cost to be a provider?
After the 120-day free trial, plans start at $44/month (Monthly) or $39/month billed annually ($468/year). You can also add category slots: Standard plan adds up to 3 categories for $64/month total (1 category FREE), and Pro plan adds up to 5 categories for $84/month total (1 category FREE). There are NO booking commissions — ever.
Does INeedYou charge a commission on bookings?
Never. INeedYou charges a flat monthly or annual subscription fee only. We do not take a percentage of your earnings, and there are no hidden fees. You keep 100% of what clients pay you.
Can I be listed in multiple service categories?
Yes! With the Standard plan ($64/mo) you can list in up to 3 categories, and with the Pro plan ($84/mo) you can list in up to 5 categories. Your profile will appear in search results for all your active categories, helping you reach more clients.
What is sponsored placement?
Sponsored providers appear at the very top of search results for their categories, giving them maximum visibility. You can purchase a Bronze (daily), Silver (weekly), or Gold (monthly) boost directly from your provider dashboard. Sponsorships are optional and separate from the subscription.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes, you can cancel anytime from your Subscription & Plans page. Your profile will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After cancellation, your profile will be deactivated but not deleted — you can reactivate by subscribing again.
How do upgrades and plan changes work?
When you upgrade your plan, Stripe automatically calculates the prorated difference based on days remaining in your current period. You only pay the difference — not the full amount again. For example: if you have 6 months left on your Annual plan and upgrade to Pro, you'll only be charged the prorated difference for those 6 months.
What information is shown on my public profile?
Your public profile shows: your display name, profile photo, service categories, bio/description, hourly/daily/fixed rates, city, rating and reviews, and availability. Your email address and phone number are never shown publicly.
⚙️ Technical & Account
How do I reset my password?
Click "Forgot your password?" on the login page and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
Can I share photos and files in messages?
Yes! The INeedYou messaging system supports image attachments (photos) and file attachments (PDF, Word, TXT) up to 10MB each. Click the paperclip icon in the message input to attach a file. Images display inline in the chat.
How do unread message notifications work?
A red badge appears next to "Messages" in the navigation bar when you have unread messages. The badge updates automatically every 30 seconds without refreshing the page. You can also enable browser push notifications to receive alerts even when you're on a different tab.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account, please contact us at support@ineedyou.io with your registered email address and the subject "Account Deletion Request". We will process your request within 7 business days and confirm by email. All your data will be permanently deleted.
Is my personal data safe?
Yes. We take data security seriously. Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text. Your email and phone are never shared publicly. We use HTTPS encryption on all pages. For full details, please read our Privacy Policy.
How do I switch the language between English and Spanish?
Click the language button in the top navigation bar — it shows 🇪🇸 ES when you're in English mode or 🇺🇸 EN when you're in Spanish mode. The language preference is saved for your entire session.
